The Transforming Power of a Christ-Like Mind

The Transforming Power of a Christ-Like Mind

Do not be anxious about

anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

Phillipians 4:6

In today’s fast-paced world where the family unit is being shattered, where people are working insane hours to barely get by because they are enslaved by the government in student loans and credit card debt…

in a world where God has been taken out of everything and His children have been blinded by Satan’s deception, void of Holy Spirit and believing what is wrong is right and what is right is wrong… being led astray by entertainment, false teachers, government school…coveting material and earthly “things” yet never having the time or freedom to enjoy them…

It comes as no surprise that the US leads the world in the rate of people on antidepressants…a rate that continues to rise.

If you were to take a step back and look at the big picture and really take our current health situation is, it is impossible to deny that what is going on is not normal, and is far from medical “advancement”.

While all good things come from above, anything that causes you to live out of peace is from the Adversary.  Stress, depression, anger, and addictions are all from the enemy who loves to see you living life frazzled…and once those strongholds enter – they open the door for unclean spirits to enter all areas of your lives, your homes, your families, and your relationships.

It is time for this country to go back to basics.. to go back to God.  Putting HIM at the forefront of everything, and in everything we say and in everything we do –  it is to bring glory to HIS name.

Simple changes in the way you look at your life situations…getting into the WORD daily….and realizing what we are truly fighting against, can transform your life.

Are you stressed out with work?

PRAISE GOD that you have a job and pray that whatever burden you are carrying be lifted.  Pray that if this is not where you are supposed to be, that He will show the way.  This sermon about the blessing of work is fantastic.

Are you stressed about your marriage?

PRAISE GOD because marriage is a gift FROM HIM and created BY HIM!!! Of all of the things that God created, there was only ONE that He said was not good…that was man being alone.  So God created him a helper – a woman – and He saw that it was very good! There is nothing the enemy would love to see destroyed more than this sacred covenant. Praise GOD you have been given authority over Satan in Jesus’s name! Go to battle for your marriage and cast the enemy out of your home and from your relationship, and love your spouse the way that Christ loves the church. That does not mean nitpicking, nagging, putting down, or arguing. That means encouraging one another, forgiving each other quickly, being kind and not speaking out of anger.

I absolutely LOVE this 4-part sermon series by Voddie Bauchman.  LIFECHANGING.  I pray that this blesses your life and marriage.

Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord.  For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.

Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word, and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.  In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.  After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church— for we are members of his body.  “For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.” This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church.  However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.

Ephesians 5:22-33

Are you stressed about your health?

PRAISE GOD for every single day that we are blessed with so we can use that as an opportunity to bring glory to HIS Holy Name! The Good LORD has provided us everything that we need to be healthy. Make changes that you need to to treat your body as the temple that it is.  If you are faced with more serious illness – pray big, pray often, and know that ultimately His will will be done…so take advantage of every day and every moment and have the faith of Abraham, that whatever happens is for His purpose.

Refuge Ranch Ministries does an excellent series every Friday evening on deliverance.  Some people have reported supernatural healing from God after going through this. I have been loving their sermons.  You can find them HERE

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;

you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.

1 Corinthians 6:19-20

Are you stressed about money?

PRAISE GOD because He always provides for His children.  We may not always have the things we want – but we will never have to worry about the things we need. You can also pick up odd-end jobs, or second jobs on the weekend if need be. Where there is a will, there is always a way.

All hard work brings a profit,
but mere talk leads only to poverty.

Proverbs 14:23

In the end, when we turn to Christ for the first time, or maybe you’ve been lost and are turning to Him again…it is incredible how easily we realize that true peace will never come from an external source.  Our worth, our strength, and our peace are found through Christ alone.

Knowledge makes arrogant, but love edifies

1 Corinthians 8:1

Prayers for the Lost

Prayers for the Lost

It is common to see people asking for prayers to heal loved ones or friends suffering from physical ailments.  I used to live in perpetual fear of my children or myself falling ill.  And when I say fear, I mean debilitating anxiety. Now, I live life free of the thorn in my side – torturing me with worry that would literally make me sick.  Now, I  take comfort in knowing that all suffering here is only temporary, and that our true riches await on the other side of this life, when all of God’s children who endure trials and tribulations will be blessed.

Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted – Matthew 5:4

While I no longer live life captive to the fear of any harm in this life…there is one kind of pain that still shakes me to the core.  That is the suffering of the lost.  Those living their lives in unrepentant sin and on a path of spiritual destruction and utter blindness.  This life devoid of the Holy Spirit always makes itself known by it’s fruit…and so there is no peace here, nor is there even any awareness of the peace that is to come…or aiming for that peace by how he or she is living life.

So right now – I want to offer up a prayer for those who have been blinded by the Adversary’s deceptive and crafty tactics, and those who have conformed to the world.

The road to the Eternal Kingdom is narrow brothers and sisters, and the road to eternal death is wide.

“Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul, but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.”

Matthew 10:28-31

Heavenly Father, everything that You do is good.  Today I want to thank You Father for another day and another opportunity to make new disciples of Your Son, Jesus Christ.  We live in a fallen world.  The dark forces are hard at work, successfully blinding otherwise well-meaning people, unknowingly leading them down a path of destruction. But You God are Almighty.  You are more powerful than an infinite army of Satan’s wardens, and should you simply breathe it, Your will would be done.  You have already sent Your prophets and Son to tell us of a great deception, an apostasy that would happen. What we are seeing now comes then as no surprise.  It still kills me to see people that I love and care about, or anybody that has not knowingly chosen to follow the path of the enemy continue on that path when they could be used for Your good and glory.  I pray today Father that you would lift that darkness from these people.    I pray that You would lift the veil and fill them with Holy Spirit.  To see this world for what it is, so that they might have the opportunity to acknowledge their wrong-doings and make them right through true repentance.   I pray that these people no longer be used to further the agenda of the devil but to be used for wardens of Your Truth.  Amen

It is never too late to turn to Christ.  There is no sin too great that it cannot be forgiven.  God is merciful, God loves you, and His door is always open for you to call home. I pray that if you’re feeling empty, void, anxious, or lacking fire of Holy Spirit, that you would humble yourselves before the Throne and ask to be shown the truth.

Again Yeshua said, “A man had two sons. The younger of them said to his father, ‘Father, give me the share of the estate that will be mine.’ So the father divided the property between them. As soon as he could convert his share into cash, the younger son left home and went off to a distant country, where he squandered his money in reckless living. But after he had spent it all, a severe famine arose throughout that country, and he began to feel the pinch.

“So he went and attached himself to one of the citizens of that country, who sent him into his fields to feed pigs.  He longed to fill his stomach with the carob pods the pigs were eating, but no one gave him any.

“At last he came to his senses and said, ‘Any number of my father’s hired workers have food to spare, and here I am, starving to death!  I’m going to get up and go back to my father and say to him, “Father, I have sinned against Heaven and against you;  I am no longer worthy to be called your son; treat me like one of your hired workers.” ’ So he got up and started back to his father.

“But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was moved with pity. He ran and threw his arms around him and kissed him warmly.  His son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against Heaven and against you; I am no longer worthy to be called your son — ’  but his father said to his slaves, ‘Quick, bring out a robe, the best one, and put it on him; and put a ring on his finger and shoes on his feet;  and bring the calf that has been fattened up, and kill it. Let’s eat and have a celebration!  For this son of mine was dead, but now he’s alive again! He was lost, but now he has been found!’ And they began celebrating.

“Now his older son was in the field. As he came close to the house, he heard music and dancing.  So he called one of the servants and asked, ‘What’s going on?’ The servant told him, ‘Your brother has come back, and your father has slaughtered the calf that was fattened up because he has gotten him back safe and sound.’  But the older son became angry and refused to go inside.

“So his father came out and pleaded with him. ‘Look,’ the son answered, ‘I have worked for you all these years, and I have never disobeyed your orders. But you have never even given me a young goat so that I could celebrate with my friends.  Yet this son of yours comes, who squandered your property with prostitutes, and for him, you slaughter the fattened calf!’  ‘Son, you are always with me,’ said the father, ‘and everything I have is yours.  We had to celebrate and rejoice because this brother of yours was dead but has come back to life — he was lost but has been found.’”

Healing Anxiety and Depression, Naturally

Healing Anxiety and Depression, Naturally

I am adamantly and firmly 100% against pharmaceuticals of any kind except in truly urgent medical situations, and because of my hardened stance on the topic, I often get asked what my thoughts are on medication for mental health.

I know this is a sensitive topic and so I would like to preface this blog by saying that there is absolutely zero judgment here. This is my personal story about my two experiences with anxiety and depression, and what has helped me, and I know has helped many others who are now born-again Christians.  My family and I are Bible-believing Christians who believe that the Good Lord has provided everything to us that we need to heal here on His earth…and there is extensive research linking depression to nutritional deficiency.  I also believe that His will and plan will always happen regardless of our own desires…so at any time, He has the power to heal us from any physical ailments with which we suffer.

Who is there who speaks and it comes to pass,

Unless the Lord has commanded it? Is it not from the mouth of the Most High

That both good and ill go forth?

Lamentations 3:37-38

Episode 1

I had my first bout with depression in 2004  one year after having my first child.  I had moved about 1,000 miles away from my family when I married my first husband who had been transferred by the Navy.  I was a very young first-time Mom, we had very little income and very little concern about health or Christ at the time.  We consumed little to no nutrition on a daily basis – all of our food was boxed, processed, and genetically modified.  I had picked up a cigarette-smoking habit and had stopped exercising.  Adding most fuel to my depressive fire was my marriage.  My ex-husband was and is a great father, but if I am putting it nicely, we had a relationship that truly brought out the worst in one another.  I spent every day crying. EVERY.  SINGLE.  DAY.   By 2006, my depression had become extreme and I had become a person I didn’t recognize at all. I had to go back to work 3 weeks after I delivered my second baby just so we could make ends meet – and I worked three jobs in addition to going to school full-time.

I took me a long time to realize or acknowledge the fact that I had a problem.  I had a lot of pride and always thought “If I just do this, things will get better”…or “If I just do that, things will get better”, always thinking happiness was just on the other side of a certain action or achievement. However, it seemed like the more time that passed, the worse things got for me mentally. I was crying every day and felt hopeless…and as much as I hated to even take so much as a Tylenol at that time, I knew I couldn’t continue the way I was going anymore and I broke down and finally made an appointment to see a doctor.

I still remember that appointment like it was yesterday because it was one of those moments in life that triggers something in the mindset to just “click”.

I went in, sat down,  began to spill out everything that was going on in my life and how I had been feeling dispirited for years and that I had finally come to my breaking point.  I flat out asked him to write me a prescription for an anti-depressant.  Now, this is where my life takes a turn because I was blessed to have a doctor that day that was driven by actually helping me with my root cause of the issue – and not slapping a band-aid on it.

He told me that he could write me a prescription, but unless I changed something in my life circumstances (got rid of a job or fixed my marriage or did SOMETHING TO FIX THE UNDERLYING ISSUE OF WHAT WAS CAUSING THE DEPRESSION)…I would be on medication forever and he warned the side effects were serious.

Mind blown? So is mine.  So grateful to this day.  The lightbulb went off and I knew that he was right. I walked out of his office with no prescriptions and I went home and made some very serious life changes.

I started eating healthier and I started exercising.  I quit smoking.  I filed for divorce (at that time neither of us were believers). I enrolled in Nursing School. I never took anti-depressant medication and yet things got better and stayed that way for years.

Episode 2

I got remarried in 2012 and everything was great for years. I felt like myself again…happy, bubbly, a little bit sassy at times, but most importantly, I was content and peaceful with life and had my third and fourth children 15 months apart from each other without issue.    Enter 2016. At the beginning of the year I started experiencing some anxiety again.  The atmosphere of our country was tense.  Riots in different cities, racial division, and the presidential election were tearing people that I loved apart and bringing out the worst in one another.  I found out one of my childhood friends was diagnosed with breast cancer, and there were multiple shootings that year as well.    As an empath, I felt drained emotionally and found myself crying again every day. My anxiety had become completely debilitating.

I had zero patience with anyone and I felt overwhelmed even with my basic daily to-do lists …simple things like laundry, cooking, even connecting with people I cared about.  I went on in this state throughout all of 2016, and even though I was doing everything I had done that helped the first time I went through this, this time they didn’t help.   I felt like I was at rock bottom and didn’t know what else to do other than to cry out to a God I didn’t even 100% believe existed at the time.   I got down on my knees every day, weeping and pleading for Him to give me the grace to be the Mother, wife, and person that He wanted me to be.  I asked Him to make me a patient and gentle person and to show me that He was in fact real.  An amazing thing happened…with nothing else changing in my life other than the prayer, I felt my anxiety slowly start to melt away and my patience started to come back to a level I hadn’t recognized in a long time.   And at the beginning of 2017, for the first time in my life I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit and I felt a thirsting to know God and Christ.

I had come completely out of my anxiety and depression. For the first time in my life, I had a level of peace and comfort I had never known before, and I did that by finding Christ and accepting Him as my Savior, repenting of my sins and being born again. It is really that simple. Once I realized ONE MILLION PERCENT that Christ Is REAL, He is ALIVE, and He died on that cross for you and me – I have been on fire ever since and have found that if I ever am not putting Him at the forefront of all I do, it is opening the door for the enemy to gain a foothold in my life.

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. – Matthew 11:28-30

Do I have moments of worry? Of course. But I have never, and will never be in that dark place again, and if at any time I ever feel like I am out of control, I give my worries to God and pray fervently in the name of Jesus Christ. God is good and is always righteous, and I do not believe in pharmaceuticals for mental health, period. They do not, and will not ever, address the issue that caused your problem in the first place. But there is nothing in the world that is too big for our God. Brothers and sisters, if you are burdened, find Jesus and get right with Him. Take care of yourself. Take care of your marriage and your family. Stay in your own lane and stop comparing your life to what the highlight reels you see on Facebook. Pray big every day – and whenever you are sad or scared…it is OK to cry out and ask why?! But the stronger you grow in faith – the more comfort and peace you will feel.

Note : I personally know people who have true hearts for Christ who have still suffered from debilitating depression.  If you are in this situation, please reach out for help from loved ones and seek deliverance from strongholds immediately.  I know several people who have had great success with deliverance from Refuge Ranch Ministries

Revelation 21:3-4

Finding healing in forgiveness

Finding healing in forgiveness

Isn’t it incredible to think about the AMAZING GRACE given to us by God because He loves us so much? That even though we are all far from perfect, that even though we are all sinners – that at any time you look at your life and realize you’re doing it all wrong, you can ask for His forgiveness, and He WILL forgive you?

Did you know that when you truly repent, He will take your sins and throw them into the depths of the sea, and He WILL NOT remember them? Why? Because love doesn’t keep track of wrongs. And God loves us so much that He sent His son, The Word made flesh, Jesus Christ, to die for us all, so that we can all have the opportunity to share in His Kingdom –  and all of its blessings.

Something to think about…

do you extend this same forgiveness to your brothers and sisters who sin against you?

Remember the parable to the unforgiving servant…

Then Peter came to Jesus and asked, “Lord, how many times shall I forgive my brother or sister who sins against me? Up to seven times?”

Jesus answered, “I tell you, not seven times, but seventy-seven times.

“Therefore, the kingdom of heaven is like a king who wanted to settle accounts with his servants.  As he began the settlement, a man who owed him ten thousand bags of gold was brought to him.  Since he was not able to pay, the master ordered that he and his wife and his children and all that he had be sold to repay the debt.

“At this, the servant fell on his knees before him. ‘Be patient with me,’ he begged, ‘and I will pay back everything.’  The servant’s master took pity on him, canceled the debt and let him go.

“But when that servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred silver coins. He grabbed him and began to choke him. ‘Pay back what you owe me!’ he demanded.

“His fellow servant fell to his knees and begged him, ‘Be patient with me, and I will pay it back.’

“But he refused. Instead, he went off and had the man thrown into prison until he could pay the debt.  When the other servants saw what had happened, they were outraged and went and told their master everything that had happened.

“Then the master called the servant in. ‘You wicked servant,’ he said, ‘I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to.  Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?’ In anger, his master handed him over to the jailers to be tortured until he should pay back all he owed.

“This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.”

Matthew 18:21-35

It is easy to forgive people when we like them, and when they are truly sorry. Other times, people will wrong you terribly -and they won’t be sorry. They may slander you, rob you of your happiness, rob you of your trust, rob you of your peace. These offenses may even come from people who are supposed to love you the most.

These are the times when forgiveness is NOT so easy…but these are times when the seekers of the Kingdom ARE INDEED SET APART.

Even when someone doesn’t ask. Even when someone doesn’t seem sorry. Even if the offense is so grievous that trust may never be regained, release your burden and extend forgiveness.

Anger and grudges are like cancer that spread through our body and soul. Every pain inflicted on you is a representation of pain the inflictor is suffering himself/herself. When you hold onto this negative energy, you are holding yourself prisoner and giving the enemy a foothold.

Learn a lesson from the parable of the unforgiving servant. Our Heavenly Father will forgive us anything, so long as we too forgive others.

And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses.

Mark 11:25

And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

Ephesians 4:32

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 1:9

Then came Peter to him, and said, Lord, how oft shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? till seven times? Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven.

Matthew 18:21-22

For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you

Matthew 6:14-15

Confess [your] faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

James 5:16

But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you

Luke 6:27

Judge not, and ye shall not be judged: condemn not, and ye shall not be condemned: forgive, and ye shall be forgiven:

Luke 6:37

Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also [do] ye.

Colossians 3:13

There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God [is] faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear [it].

1 Corinthians 10:13

Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.

Proverbs 10:12

Fear is a Liar

Fear is a Liar

Ever heard that fear is a liar?

It’s the truth.

Any doubt, excuse, or fear that you have is a lie from the devil from the pit of hell.

He doesn’t want you to be happy…he wants you to be unhappy.

He doesn’t want you to reach your goals…he wants you to fail and believe you aren’t good enough.

He doesn’t want you to make a difference…he wants things to stay the same

He doesn’t want you to open the eyes of others…he comes to lie and deceive

He doesn’t want to stop suffering…he comes to destroy and kill

He doesn’t want to souls to be saved…he is a rebel against the Highest.

He doesn’t want you to make this world a better place…he wants you to believe that you are powerless.

When you hear these thoughts in your head, recognize them for what they are and cast them out immediately in the name of Jesus Christ.  Here is the truth my friends…and the Truth is sharper than any two-edged…

The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you.

Psalms 46:5

And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

You are worth far more than rubies.

Proverbs 31:10

All who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. John 1:12

Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. (1 Cor. 15:58)

Don’t give the devil a foothold – rebuke him in the name of our Savior Jesus Christ and be the salt and light you are called to be!
